Valeria Ridi
Owner & Managing Director - EAST by CONTROVENTO
From her love of ancient Greek and Roman classicism to her interest for the oriental
philosophies, her studies in philology opened up a new route in tourism which started
in 1988 and has since never abandoned. Valeria has always been involved with the
product management of many destinations in the Far East and in the Indian continent
on behalf of some of the most prestigious international tour operators. Attracted
by the world, she is an expert connoisseur of Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam, Laos,
Cambodia, Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong, India, Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet, Sri Lanka,
Malaysia, Maldives & the Arabian Emirates. Valeria conjugates her vocation to research
the most precious aspects of a journey with her marked communication and organizational
skills: the result has been a long lasting career where she has been covering creative
and decision-making roles. |

With 20 years experience in Sales & Marketing, Jean-Louis runs our French consultancy
office based in Besancon. His previous experience as commercial director brings
a crucial understanding of the client?s needs as well as important skills in business
development. From a young age tourism and travel have always been his passion: as
a result he has been visiting more than 40 countries and islands so far as Australia,
Africa & Mauritius are amongst his very favorite destinations.

Key Account Manager - HEVEA
Karine is part of our French consultancy office based in Besancon. Extremely keen
in human relations she has travelled extensively across the 4 continents, seeking
encounters with the people & the local culture. While traveling she has successfully
studied Ayurveda with several experts in India. Thanks to her marketing & customer
background she is monitoring the trends of the markets as well as the satisfaction
of our customers.
